"My first assignment for @stephensilver7's class.
Tried to work from shapes which is clearly a great way to start designing the character."
Had a busy day again - that's the shitty thing about working in a full-time job!
I really had big expectation about this word, but had to do something quite simpler than I expected. Hope u understand the message (or try to see it from own your perspective)
Didn't have much time today, so i sketched a bull without coloring it.
Related this to the word compassion as symbol for all animal abuse, more specifically bullfighting: a subject frequently debated in my country, Portugal.
I was inspired by the movie "Ferdinand".
I've been wondering about it and at the same time realizing how small we are in this wonderfull world. How big we feel (as humanity) and how distorted and "ego"centric is this thinking.
Ego is a two-sided question in West culture. As it is part of our personality, and i mean a percepetion of who and what we are, Ego, too, can be seen as something that is a threat to us as a illusion of our dimension : an attempt to differentiate ourselves from others.
So keeping the balance is always a question of flexibility where we are prepared to understand our emotions: not avoiding them or let them control us.
With this we became less reactive and more calm. More stable. π
