Dear beloved sports-loving Nigerian youths,
After watching the performances of Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema at the opening of the 2026 World Cup—at a time when Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is absent—I felt a measure of consolation. This was reinforced by the fact that many Nigerians playing for clubs worldwide are representing other countries. Felix Nmecha, for instance, set a record by scoring the fastest goal at six minutes for Germany. I write to you therefore, knowing that this country belongs to you, the youth.
You are more of stakeholders in Nigeria’s future than I am. I am 64 years old; by God’s grace, much of my journey is behind me, while yours lies ahead.
It is therefore imperative that you rise to the challenge by obtaining your PVC, your most powerful tool for driving the change you desire.
In the last three years alone, over 15 million Nigerians have turned 18—enough to decide who becomes President, Governor, Senator, Member of the House, or Local Government Chairman. Indeed, enough to shape the nation’s future.
I know many of you are sceptical about politics and political parties. I understand why, but scepticism must not become surrender.
You do not need to belong to any party or wait for anyone to organise you. Organise yourselves in your streets, campuses, communities, workplaces, churches, mosques, and social groups. Mobilise, debate, demand accountability, and take part in choosing those you wish to entrust with leadership.
If you are organised and wish to hear directly from me, invite me. I will come and share my plans for you and our nation.
Do not sit on the sidelines while others decide your future.
I appeal to you to register and vote. Your vote can shape who becomes the next President of our country.
My young friends, this is your country. Take it back.

Yesterday, I learned that some people are going through a lot of hardships in life. I met a woman who was taping tissue to her breasts just to make them look bigger.
Newark or anywhere in America, the message doesn’t change: @ICEgov operations will NOT be deterred.
Riot, obstruct, or assault an officer and you will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
"ICE! ICE! We love ICE!"
Trump supporters chant as they confront anti-ICE agitators at Delaney Hall amid violent demonstrations outside the New Jersey detention center.
The rate at which they celebrated when they thought VDM has finally gotten himself into trouble, coupled with the fact that we still have to explain to people why they shouldn't vote Tinubu for second term, I just concluded this particular youths are not the leaders of tomorrow.
"From Bayo Onanuga’s tweet, you will know they have had plans to arrest me for a long time. If you check very well, most important tweets going viral in Nigeria, he hardly quotes them, but this AI video that didn’t even go viral, he quoted it immediately. By now, he should be apologising."

Celebrating Eid-el-Kabir with Faith, Sacrifice and Hope
I warmly felicitate with the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria and across the world as they celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, a sacred occasion that embodies the timeless virtues of faith, sacrifice, obedience to God, compassion, and love for humanity. Let us focus our prayers on unity and hope at this year’s Sallah.
As we reflect on the profound lessons of this solemn celebration, we are reminded of the need for selflessness, tolerance, and commitment to the common good. These values are especially important at this critical period of our national journey. Nigeria is a nation of immense potential, currently weighed down by avoidable challenges, but the spirit of Eid-el-Kabir teaches us that after sacrifice comes fulfilment. We must never lose hope in the possibility of a functional, just, and productive nation where no citizen is left behind.
Let us use this sacred period to pray for our security forces on the frontlines, for wisdom for our leaders, and for meaningful economic relief for the masses who continue to bear the burden of our collective difficulties. Let us also recommit ourselves to peace, mutual respect, and unity across faiths and regions.
May this Eid-el-Kabir bring joy to our families, peace to our communities, and renewed hope to our dear nation. I wish all our Muslim brothers and sisters a blessed and joyful Eid-el-Kabir celebration. -PO
Yesterday, May 19th, in Abuja, I attended the Presidential screening organised by our party, which took over two and a half hours. They carefully reviewed all my documents, including my degree certificates, NYSC credentials, and age declarations.
During the process, I also addressed questions regarding my vision for a new Nigeria and the type of leadership our nation urgently needs right now. Following this, I was cleared and received the presidential nomination form I had previously paid for.
I would like to commend the screening committee, led by former governor Sam Egwu, for their thorough and professional approach. Additionally, I appreciate our party's leadership for upholding the democratic process.

False HIV allegations against a young woman cause deep harm, stigma, and lasting damage to her mental health and reputation. True leadership requires truth, accountability, and responsibility. Let us promote justice and uplift others.

Rebuilding Brotherhood Trust Across African Borders
I have been observing with deep concern the alarming rise of xenophobic attacks in South Africa. I strongly condemn these acts. My thoughts are with all those affected—especially our Nigerian brothers and sisters, whose lives, businesses, and dignity are once again under threat. No African should feel unsafe on African soil, or anywhere else.
I commend the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mrs Bianca Ojukwu and her Ministry for their swift response to this issue.
I recall my visit to our compatriots during a similar crisis. It was a painful experience that revealed both the suffering and resilience of our people. It also highlighted a fundamental truth: beyond borders, we share a common identity and destiny as Africans. Such experiences should have inspired lasting solutions, not recurring tragedy.
In this regard, I urge the authorities in South Africa to act decisively - to protect lives and property, bring perpetrators to justice, and restore public confidence. Leadership must rise to the occasion, making it clear that violence and intolerance have no place in our societies. -PO
