@delaneykingrox Sometimes I wanna be in face select mode and delete vertices only. Or be in vertex mode and only delete faces. You get the idea. Switching between select modes to do this feels disorienting. Current method means I know exactly what will happen with every option in every mode.
@delaneykingrox Maybe. I think your default paradigm would've made my learning experience harder. Locking away the connected edge gradient behind a checkbox means I wouldn't have found that critical functionality for a while. And maybe the current delete paradigm is messy, but it's unambiguous.
This weekend I'm going to get my Artstation thrown together. I've been putting this off forever, and this is the kick in the pants I needed anyway. So, that's where I'll be if Twitter withers away.
I'll also still be on Discord. atomic#8877. Don't make me regret posting that!
@AmiTheRobot Yeah the K701 and K702 are pretty similar, but you make the choice between high-mid shoutiness with the K702 or treble harshness with the K701. Either are way better than the K7XX which has a ton of upper bass bloat
@AmiTheRobot If you like AKG comfort, the K702 are probably the best they make with a removable cable, but I'd probably recommend the Audio-Technica ATH-R70x for sound quality in that price range. The K612 Pro is the best-sounding AKG but no removable cable
A 3D student is packing the most intricate, beautiful and optimized UV layout by hand. Elsewhere in the world four professional artists click "auto UV layout" on an atrocious UV packing algorithm from 2005 that barely works and wastes space. "Eh, that will do", they go in unison.
@iiboharz There aren't many good ones. The Sony WH1000-XM series are well built and have good noise cancellation, but they sound pretty awful. AirPods Max are, unfortunately, probably the best-sounding wireless headphones, and they're still only decent-sounding.
