"Gambling is a tax on ignorance. People often gamble because they think they can win, they’re lucky, they have hunches, that sort of thing, whereas in fact, they’re going to be remorselessly ground down over time." - Edward Thorp

@ThatchTaylor Expense ratio and tracking error. But there will probably always be a some tracking error with an asset class as volatile as Bitcoin. GBTC was terrible about this before converting to an ETF (the 2.50% expense ratio didn't help). @NateGeraci may be able to provide more color
@ThatchTaylor Zooming out since inception. Estimates show that 4-6 million bitcoin (19-28% of the total supply) are lost forever because people are, well, people—lose password, throw away a device, etc. Estate planning and peace of mind alone, an ETF seems well worth the price of admission
@ThatchTaylor Why not keep it simple with an ETF? No need to worry about wallets, storage, keys, or more accounts or additional custodians when some of the world’s largest asset managers can do that for you.
