this piece is one that’s v special to me, because we have a dissociative disorder that results in a nearly 24/7 state of derealization. It wanes and waxes in intensity, but it’s a feeling we know well and really resonated with lucia when we watched TMK :’]

For today I chose Lucia with the headcanon that she has Depersonalization-Derealization Disorder, which is a dissociative disorder often caused by trauma or long-term severe anxiety (more below ⬇️)

I hc arthur to have an autoimmune disorder + rheumatoid arthritis that is kind of stuck in a stasis due to his vampirism, and these are a couple of the assistive tools he uses !

For sports mode, i had saved this really great pose of someone in a sports wheelchair that I just had to use for runt !!! i think this is my fav piece for the entire week <33 #jrwidisabilityweek #jrwifanart

- the way it’s put on is by sliding it over the leg with some kind of compression garment under it, tightening the laces, and then adjusting the belts to fit

today’s prompt is “fantasy / magical assistance” so I wanted to share an old prosthetic design I did for jay ferin !! i did a lot of research on real prosthetics to design this, so check out a few of my design notes in the replies :D
