🔴“Tenemos hambre, volvemos a casa”
The engineering behind Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabéu pitch system is insane.
The natural grass retracts into a 30-meter underground greenhouse to stay fresh while the stadium hosts concerts.
Victor Noir’s grave in Père - Lachaise cemetery by Patrick Magaud, 1984. Noir is perhaps more famous for his death and grave than work. He was a journalist who was shot dead; the grave consists of a full-sized bronze statue of the man lying down as if he had just been shot.
The statue became a fertility symbol - the story says those who kiss the statue on the lips, leave a flower in Victor’s hat, and rub the genital area will find themselves with enhanced fertility, a great sex life, or a husband within one year.
The lips and trousers' bulge on the grave are noticeably shiny from people kissing and rubbing them.
In 2004, a fence was built around the grave to prevent women from touching the statue but after many protests it was taken down.

A welcome message from Prime Minister @donaldtusk.
Ukraine and Poland cannot change history, but we can choose not to let it define our future.
Our partnership matters—for both our nations and for Europe's security.
Putin's regime has a quiet way to punish the Russians who fled it. It cancels their passports, freezes their accounts, and turns Interpol against them.
🧵Last week the EU named this for what it is [1/12]
Zelensky just laid it out plain: this isn't about Ukrainian grain or some sudden Polish farmer apocalypse. It's electoral theater. President Nawrocki is already campaigning for 2027, positioning himself against Tusk by playing the tough guy on Ukraine. "No place for you in Europe, bad for our farmers." Classic domestic knife fight dressed up as foreign policy.
And the funniest part? Zelensky calmly notes Ukraine barely sells meaningful volumes of ag product into Poland anyway. Our markets are elsewhere. This isn't economics, it's pure narrative heating to squeeze the current government, block clusters, and score points with the base. Standard Polish internal knife work, except it lands on the country that's physically stopping the imperial meat grinder from reaching Polish soil.
Look, every democracy gets to run its own circus. But let's not pretend this is principled concern. Ukraine isn't asking for favors. We're the ones bleeding out the aggressor that would otherwise be testing NATO's Article 5 in five to seven years at current trajectory. Arming us and opening defense clusters isn't charity. It's the cheapest European security insurance policy available. Every ruble Moscow burns on Ukrainian fields is a ruble not spent on hybrid ops, Iskanders aimed at Warsaw, or buying more Iranian drones to fly over Polish skies.
The idea that Poland can afford to play these games while hiding behind the very Ukrainian forces keeping Russian logistics in flames is peak short-termism. Zelensky's right. This isn't medieval princes or ancient princes. It's 2025. Poland has a democracy, not a monarchy. Its president might want the prime minister's chair, but that ambition shouldn't come at the expense of coherent policy toward the state literally buying Europe time with its own dead.
We will get the clusters anyway because reality eventually overrides electoral posturing. Moscow's collapse trajectory doesn't care about Polish internal polling. The math is brutal: Russia loses more soldiers taking one ruined village than that village had residents pre-war. Their "victories" are demographic suicide at industrial scale. Meanwhile their only growth industry is producing fresh graves and new reasons for every neighbor to rearm.
Ukraine isn't some supplicant. We're the ones proving daily that the imperial project can be ground into dust when met with sustained resistance. The favor runs the other way. Every day we hold, every drone strike on their refineries, every ATACMS or domestic long-range hit on their rear, is Europe not having to explain to its own voters why Russian troops are suddenly at the Suwalki Gap.
Polish politicians can play their games. Just don't mistake it for strategy. The frontline isn't moving on Polish electoral calendars. It's moving on ammunition, political will, and whether the West finally accepts that defeating this enemy on Ukrainian soil is orders of magnitude cheaper than fighting it on their own.
Zelensky gets it. He's not begging. He's managing alliances while running a war of survival that doubles as continental defense. The rest is noise. Useful noise for Polish voters maybe, but noise nonetheless. The serious conversation is how fast we ramp Ukrainian defense production, how many clusters we open, and how thoroughly we dismantle the Moscow regime's ability to repeat this in the next decade. Everything else is electoral theater.

🔴 “A Russian soldier without a weapon and left on his own was spotted by a Ukrainian soldier using a drone, who left him water and a note saying ‘surrender’. Even in war, being humane and staying human is sometimes still possible.”
