Sometime in May 1985, Maita hosted a breakfast salu-salo along with anti-Marcos activist Nikki Coseteng. Guests included the Who's Who of the protest movement: Butz Aquino (@atomphils83), Lean Alejandro and J.V. Bautista (BAYAN), Behn Cervantes, and columnist Louie Beltran.
Rivers Cuomo of the legendary 90's band Weezer sported a Ninoy Aquino shirt in a Florida gig December 2021. Proving once more the iconic international stature of Ninoy as a hero.

His mother, Doña Aurora Aquino, chose to bury him that way.
