I'm praying this prayer (suggested by @stevearterburn). Join us?
Dear God,
Let your purposes be my purposes. Let your priorities be my priorities. Let your will be my will. Let your Word be my guide. And let me grow in faith and in wisdom today and every day.
Amen
We serve a God who breathes life into the shattered soul and creates something new and more beautiful than ever before. And you are never so broken that God can’t make something beautiful out of your life.
Dare to believe it, sweet friend.
To take quality notes, students need to be taught how. This station-rotation lesson gets the job done, and it can be used with all kinds of other content as well.

The early church didn’t give any energy to winning a culture war.
They spent their time creating a counter-cultural community, serving the marginalized, and sharing the news of Jesus’ resurrection.
An abrasive tongue, a lying tongue, a foolish tongue- all of these are signs of a person who has resentment, dishonesty, and pride in his or her own heart. But the irony is this: Others will be able to see (through your words) more of your heart than you will.
I don’t know when or how things will take a turn in your life. But I do know we are brave enough to keep on walking. To keep on asking God to lead us. To keep on trusting that today’s hurt will not be the sum total of our lives.
Are you in a time of difficulty? Are you in a time of trial? Cry out to the Lord. In Jeremiah 33:3 God says, “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know” (NKJV).
We tend to say, “The church grew.”
Acts tends to say, “The word spread.”
We talk about church growth.
Acts talks about word growth.
Preach the word and let God take care of the size of your church.
We don’t have to know the plan to trust there is a plan. We don’t have to feel good to trust there is good coming. We don’t have to see evidence of change to trust that it won’t always be this hard.
