A young daily wage worker has joined the protest in Delhi. In his words, “Life is not just about having three full meals a day. People also deserve dignity, fair rights, and respect.”

Although the legal standard is an 8-hour workday, he works nearly 14 hours every day. At the end of the month, he earns only around 13,000 rupees. With such an income, it is extremely difficult to provide for his family’s basic needs.

He also says that most farmers from rural India cannot leave their families and farms behind to participate in a prolonged protest. That is why he has joined the movement, not only for his own rights but also to represent the voices of countless farmers across the country.
