Featured: Steven Sorman, "Really What Am I Doing"
This week's feature "Wedged Arc" by John Schwartzkopf is installed high on the wall and references an opportunity to look up and gaze at tree structures during an experience in the park. Please feel free to come to the gallery before our exhibition closes June 29.
This week's feature is "Figure 8 Island" by Ellen Glasgow. It is a depiction of a body of water or lake, river, pond, immersed in a dense green background of sun, sky, and clouds. The scene is beautifully rendered with a softness that speaks of peace.

This week's feature is "Under the Sun Every Day Comes and Goes" (2003) by Cameron Martin, a very well recognized and collected national artist. The work fits well with the current themed exhibition but also is a bit unexpected with its black and white palette.
"Bahama Straits, Sunrise," 2010, oil on linen, 37 1/4" x 73 1/4"
Today’s feature is a large scale oil painting by Ellen Glasgow. This is a very stunning work with deep rich color and almost minimal design.
This week’s feature is a striking work by New York artist, Adam Straus. “Flanders Field,” 2020 is both moving and engaging with subject and media. Included with the prime image, is the background with subtle imagery of newspaper transfer.
The late James Kuiper was most known for his compelling, abstract artwork that masterfully captured the essence and emotion of various natural landscapes preserved in his memory.

This Week's Feature!
"Profundidad"
Paula Cecchi
This is one of the largest and most impressive works in our current Cecchi exhibition. The beautiful deep blue and purple palette is one of the many enticing elements of this work.
This Week's Feature!
"Horizons" by Paula Cecchi
An intriguing charcoal on canvas work. A dramatic landscape, it includes a figure on a forest walk with quite subtle images of two young children.
"Cati y Ana" by Paula Cecchi
A tender moment of mother with child is depicted using a media of egg and oil on MDF. The texture and mottled background produce a subtle and soft appearance that is quite interesting and contributes to the mood of the work.
Thanks to all who came out for the Cecchi events last weekend. The artist will be in town throughout this week and is available in the gallery to meet with anyone who would like to review and discuss her work. We hope you can find time to stop by.
We are very busy unpacking and installing the stunning new Cecchi work which has now arrived from Argentina. It is exciting just to see this work in person, and designing and organizing the installation is a pleasure. Opening Reception October 14, 6-8 pm.
This is the final week of our Memorial Exhibition for William Yonker. Our feature piece,“Lidded Jar #226,” 2016, is certainly one of the most beautiful in the show. The graceful shape and subtle pink color distinguish this work.
"William Yonker In Memoriam"
This week’s feature is the largest work in the exhibition. The beautiful proportions and interesting markings on the surface make this work intriguing indeed. We hope you will have the opportunity to come by and take a look.
Atrium announces a Memorial Exhibition, September 9-30, for it's long time artist Bill Yonker.
We invite you to join us for an Opening Reception:
Friday, September 9 from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Last days for “Directed Movements” showing works by Annette Morriss and Jim Nickel. Exhibition now ending August 27. Do not miss this interesting and beautiful exhibition.
Jim Nickel's "VP #47a," presents an intricate curve of an image composed of enamel (alternating black and white) on beautifully finished Osage Orange wood. The shape of this piece allows a clear reflection for the red underpainting typically seen in Nickel’s recent work.
This week's feature is "Untitled,"2001. It is a striking and calm charcoal on paper work, displaying so clearly Morriss's enticing geometric patterns. The precision, open space, and pattern of overlapping lines bring an intriguing composition to a calm and beautiful conclusion.
This week's feature is a pair of elegant small oil paintings. During his Covid isolation in his studio, Nelson alludes he was inspired to produce a series of intimate, scaled-down paintings. Also, note, the exhibition is now being extended through June 11th.
