NHS does not say sorry for false negative smears, except in rare cases.

In most cases, false negatives are deemed 'satisfactory with learning points' and at the limit of cytology detection.

Screening can't prevent all cancers, just most, and the NHS won't apologise for that.

The rise this April representing a 31.7% cash increase compared to 2010/11

Given that Doctor pay over the same period has decreased 25%

I find it amazing that MPs are able to say with a straight face that it’s unreasonable of doctors to have expected their salaries to keep up with living costs, when MP salaries have increased 28% since 2010. But Drs asking for a similar amount to restore pay are “unreasonable”.

@juneshannon Just to clarify, we train more Medical Students per head of population than any other country in the OECD. A large proportion of these are international to offset the cost of training Irish doctors because the Government doesn’t want to pay for it.
