@EdwardTasch@ImBreckWorsham I think there's also a whole lot of people who believe Trump is "protecting" them against a jumble of things. The old paranoia nurtured with a heavy dose of lies and fear.
@braxtonpope You know, I'm thinking the same and getting annoyed at myself for not leaving X for good for the contemplative quiet of BlueSky.
But I'm going to do it, I'm going to!
@FriendlessGhoul You should just ignore or block. These people behave outrageously to get engagement. They're the modern-day version of the villain with a shifty look, rubbing his hands and giggling malevolently.
This is not a movie about meteor showers before the apocalypse; this is Russia bombing Kyiv last night. A city with several million people in it - children, the elderly, and normal families just like yours.
@braxtonpope You read me correctly! These days I watch almost exclusively films of the 20th century. So many of them, more than a lifetime, it dawned on me I had to focus on them as they and their eras are my favourite.
Perhaps a cinephilic existential crisis.
@braxtonpope You can't beat classic cars. Designs took the wrong turn, well, at the turn of the century. Now cars all look the same, which, in a way, makes the oldies stand out even more!
Question for Musk: You tell us not to worry about the jobs that’ll be wiped out by AI & robotics because the government will provide everyone with “universal high income.” Really?
How will that be paid for when you can’t even support a 5% tax on your $817 billion in wealth?
@braxtonpope Teshigahara also adapted Tannin no kao from Kobo Abe, but this one disappointed me, even though it starred Tatsuya Nakadai. Have you seen it?
