マウスに高脂肪食を与えて太らせているところに、ブラウティア菌を摂取させてみると、内臓脂肪の蓄積と体重の増加が抑制されました。ただし、通常食のマウスに同菌を与えても体重変化はありませんでした。巷間では「痩せ菌」と言われますが「体重の増加を抑制する菌」ですね
