@blissfulspring_ @MarghRoark I’d say play English up until Chapter 4 and if you can’t stand it switch, by then the voice actors hit their stride.

Apparently the voice direction when they were recording was terrible and that’s why some of the early voice acting had issues.

@blissfulspring_ @ValToadstool It’s not as bad as people say, the voices are generally good but there are a couple rough spots (in cutscenes, the combat and overworld are fine).

Plus XC3 English is stellar and some of the accents lose context if you didn’t play XC2 in English.
