Emergency departments had a record no. of closures last yr, even worse than the 1,199 closures of emerg departments, urgent care centres & more in 2023. Before 2018 when the Ford govt took power, emerg department closures were almost unheard of.

Wait times for admission from an Emergency Department to a bed are at a 13 year high. 1,850 patients are on stretchers in hospitals waiting for beds- up from 850 when Premier Ford promised to end hallway medicine in 2018.

Without the protected bike lanes on Bloor, I'd have no safe way to make it home from work in time to collect my kid from daycare. Cycling saves me 20 minutes faster vs. the TTC - and a separated lane means I can use my bike year round.
