Hearing anecdotally of energy firms offering very competitive rates upon contract renewal (not sure how widespread this is!).

28c/kWh is much, much lower than anything published (around 10c/kWh less than Yuno energy, for example).

New paper just accepted with Economics Letters.

It examines supports for high energy prices. It proves that a lump sum transfer is more progressive than an equivalent price cap, and identifies conditions where there are equal distributional effects.
