As messed up as the law change is, I went to a very queer college and title IX never stopped students and teachers from having gay sex. It's BEEN prominent (not that I participated)
@silenth8ll My most puritan ex ended up being a lesbian and has come out of her shell a lot since coming out, it's a shame some are still repressing aspects of their sexuality after already truthfully sharing a part of who they are that isn't yet fully accepted by society
@bentley_heaps@FosterThePrnxtr@poolnoodle93 Journalists don't talk about Parquet Courts because they haven't been together in years, all critical reception from their time was glowing though. Their style was birthed by and for the musical intellectual.
Nobody cares about Thee Oh Sees because they only have one good song.
To expand on this: Both of these archetypes exist across the political spectrum. Hasan and Clavicular are Patrick Bateman, but Sam Hyde and Nick Mullen are Travis Bickle
@butchstudies@nolkou I don't mean to discredit your lived experience as a lesbian, but I have put a lot of time into understanding relationships from the female perspective and staying in touch with my feminine side. Maybe I can't love a woman exactly like a lesbian, but I try my best.
@FinnSamule62507@nolkou All I mean is that there is a certain gentleness and understanding that is not expected from straight men in society. I try to bring that to my relationships, but it is unfortunately difficult because of how I was socialized.
