The water is *practice*. The erg is *training*.
We lose fitness when we only row on the water.
As rowers, we gotta erg.

The best way (by far) to increase our fitness on the erg is by prioritizing the erg.
2x per week. Steady state.
The majority of athletes lose fitness in the fall because they only row on the water.
If the erg is important to you, make the time.
