@ChanakyaShah@Vidyut This reminds me of the 2005 scandal in China where several infants died after consuming milk-powder adulterated with porcelain powder. The culprits were hanged, but it took years for Chinese consumers to regain trust in domestic milk-powder.

WHO says we should have 9 sqm open space per person. Mumbaikars are surviving on just 0.87 sqm. And now even that tiny bit is under attack.
Bandra’s Neville D’Souza Ground, the ONLY FIFA-standard ground in the whole city, where 10,000 young kids train every year; they want to use it for a convention centre.
They are snatching the last proper ground from our children so builders can make more money. Their dreams of playing proper football? Gone. Just like that.
We’re fighting to save Neville D’Souza Ground. If you’re from Mumbai and you care even a little, share this and join the fight. Before it’s too late. #SaveNevilleDsouzaGround #MumbaiOpenSpaces

Dear lordships,
- 100+ RTI users have been killed for exposing corruption & thousands attacked and harassed- SC is silent.
- The Whistleblowers Protection Act passed in 2014 not implemented till date- SC is silent.
But every few days the SC berates RTI activists and calls them names- cockroaches, busy bodies, and today the Court is asking who are citizens to monitor public works! Perhaps your lordships need to be reminded that in a democracy citizens are sovereign and tax payers have a right to know how their money is spent. Courts should deal with individual cases on merit without passing derogatory remarks about those who hold power to account.
Good morning! Just got to know this!
1/2 A whole government Ministry is unleashed on me - because I speak against unscientific practices and primitive traditional healthcare that can harm, I communicate scientific information for public and patients alike.
This was an official memo released during the Ministry of Ayush meeting on 12-6-2026 fully dedicated towards shutting down my social media presence.
Imagine - the people in this meeting were eating biscuits and drinking tea, paid for by the citizens of the country - to decide how to gag and shutdown a citizen doctor who educates people on medical science via social media.
Yesterday, my Instagram account was briefly hacked, but I got back control and removed unauthorized access within an hour.
The Article 51A(h) of the Indian Constitution outlines the fundamental duty of every citizen to develop a "scientific temper, humanism, and the spirit of inquiry and reform". Added during the 42nd Amendment in 1976, this non-justiciable directive promotes logical reasoning, critical thinking, and rationality.
The Ayush system is not scientific, it kills scientific temper, it does not promote the spirit of inquiry, it lacks logical reasoning, has the deadest version of critical thinking and none of its products and practices are rational.
The only thing that needs to be shut down, is an unscientific body like Ayush that goes against the Indian Constitution and wastes public tax money... and not me.
Also, please look closely at the person at the end, who is copied to, by the Ministry. His name is Vaidya K P Manikandan and he is the owner and founder of CNS Ayurveda Hospital, where children are treated for chronic conditions such as severe mental health disorders, autism and epilepsy (please see an official release from the hospital in the next post). One such victim of his was saved by my team (we reported it: https://t.co/eXeWt2n6N7) and he put a criminal defamation case against me and the authors (for publishing a scientific peer reviewed paper!) which was later "stayed" by the High Court of Kerala.
This has nothing to do with service to patients, but everything to do with protecting the business of alternative medicine (especially Ayurveda). These low life complaintants should be ashamed.
44 year old Patnala Suresh, from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh was the Chief Engineer of MT Settebello which was attacked by the US at the Strait of Hormuz.
Patnala Suresh was among the three Indian who were killed. He is a Telugu man. His family is awaiting answers.
Telugu media and the leaders are playing dumb. Not even a condolence from the big guys who took oath to protect the people of Andhra.
They are all awaiting orders from PM Narendra Modi who is still busy celebrating being the longest serving PM of “Independent India”. Once he finds time to tweets or releases a condolence statement, then all the Andhra Pradesh leaders will, I guess.
Wonder where the Telugu pride is hiding 🙏🏽
24th of June will be 15th wedding anniversary of Suresh and Bhargavi.
Suresh was desperate to come back home. Currently the family is awaiting this body.
Suresh is survived by two sons aged 13 years and 10 years.
Newsclick shut down, journalists lost their jobs - young reporters were called suspects. There should be an enquiry against the delhi police and ED officers in charge and should be made to pay damages

PM @narendramodi जी,
INS Baaz, UPA
INS Baaz

The most tragic part about the Delhi fire tragedy is that if someone from the hotel had ordered water from Blinkit it would have reached earlier than the Fire Brigade.
Why much of the rightwing hand-wringing over the Mohenjo Daro seal stems from under-appreciation of the historical process and context:
The Vedic period begins AFTER the Harappan Civilization started declining and after the arrival of the Indo-European language-speaking pastoral tribes from the Eurasian Steppe. Therefore, any Harappan deity identified IS a pre-Vedic one. In the centuries that followed, as the incoming culture mixed with the existing culture, there were adaptations and borrowings. Some Harappan customs and practices continued as folk traditions and found their way into later Sanskrit texts. The sacredness of the peepul tree, or designs and motifs in jewellery and pottery, games of dice... This is to expected and is the natural result of mass migrations.
Excerpt from Early Indians paperback edition, Pages 203 to 205:
"Remnants of a civilization
The Vedic corpus was composed over many centuries, and it is important to remember that the discrepancy between it and the Harappan Civilization reduces over time. The later the Vedic text, the more the likelihood of finding connections to the Harappan cultural heritage. If the Rigveda was antagonistic to, and disdainful of, ‘shishna-deva’, by the time of the Upanishads, composed between 500 BCE and 100 BCE, this was no longer the case. The number of borrowed words from Dravidian languages is also higher in the later Vedic texts than in the earlier ones. There are many Harappan seals, sealings and terracotta figurines that remind one of yoga, but there are no clear references to yoga in the Rigveda. But by the time of the Katha Upanishad, there are explicit references to it. A Harappan seal shows a figure wearing a horned headdress sitting in a yoga-like posture surrounded by animals, and it has been interpreted by some as an early depiction of Siva. Many historians and archaeologists reject this interpretation on the grounds that this is projecting later-day concepts into the distant past. While that may be so, it still leaves open the possibility of a convergence between later-day ideas of an ascetic Siva and the seal images, beliefs and myths of the Harappans.
This is not surprising because over time incoming cultures often do adopt, adapt to and intermingle with existing cultures, and the Arya and the Harappans may have done the same to varying degrees across cultural domains and geographic regions. And, of course, a lot of the cultural continuity from the Harappan Civilization is reflected in popular practices rather than in the Vedic corpus.
The way houses are built around courtyards; the bullock carts; the importance of bangles and the way they are worn; the manner in which trees are worshipped and the sacredness of the peepul tree in particular; the ubiquitous Indian cooking pot and the kulladh; the cultic significance of the buff alo; designs and motifs in jewellery, pottery and seals; games of dice and an early form of chess (dice and chess-like boards have been found at multiple Harappan sites); the humble lota which is used to wash up even today; and even the practice of applying sindoor and some measurement systems – the ways in which we carry on the traditions of the Harappan Civilization are too many to count.
A vase discovered at the Harappan site of Lothal in Gujarat has a painting that shows a crow standing next to a pitcher with a deer looking back at it, seemingly depicting the tale of the thirsty crow in the Panchatantra. So some of the tales we tell our children may have been the same ones told by the Harappans to their own children.
What ended around 1900 BCE, therefore, was the power structure that had kept the civilization going for over seven centuries, and with it went the script, the seals, the standardized bricks and some of the ideology as well – such as the unicorn. But many other things that are part and parcel of the common man’s life continued, along with some of the philosophical and cultural underpinnings of south Asia’s first civilization..."
Here is the mystery of Coempt and why the tenders were modified to suit Coempt...
1. The Manipal Group (primarily through its division Manipal Global Education Services) holds a majority stake and controls the Coempt as its EdTech and digital examination arm.
2. T.V. Mohandas Pai - a highly prominent and vocal supporter of BJP - serves as the chairman of Manipal Global Education Services
3. Former BJP Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar is a prominent alumnus of the Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), which is a crown jewel of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE)

In a Gujarat port case, the National Green Tribunal, in a REMARKABLY SHOCKING order, copy-pasted page after page, excerpts from the very reports commissioned by the very same port, to finally give a one-paragraph “finding” that the Environment Clearance granted to it was without fault!
From page 5 to page 43 (of the total 44 pages), the order copies and pastes parts of the project proponent’s (the port’s) own Environmental Impact Assessment and other studies it commissioned—the very documents whose findings the appellant had come to the Tribunal to challenge—and then treats those very reproductions as the basis on which to dismiss the very grave questions raised against them, including violation of laws, threat to endangered species, falsities in the studies, and lack of several important studies like impact on local livelihood and climate analysis. The NGT order runs into 44 pages but is absolutely DEVOID of any reasoning!
Then, when challenged in the Supreme Court, a bench of Chief Justice of India Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi declined to set this order aside on May 11 this year. Instead, they chose to send the appellant back to the NGT.
The NGT order violated at least four precedents that have clearly held that the NGT ought to undertake a merits-review of the challenged clearance, defined what “merits-review” is, pressed for detailed reasoning, called reasoning “the heartbeat” of a judgment, and barred it from resting its conclusions on what the project proponent (the port) says.
The most concerning failure of the Supreme Court, however, is that it did not even bother to take judicial note of the conduct that was highlighted before it. Instead, Chief Justice Kant on that day, went on an intemperate rant against “alleged environmentalists and activists”.
During the hearing, Chief Justice Kant stated: “Show us even a single project in this country where these alleged environmentalists and activists say we welcome this project… Everything you drag to the court… In this country, this kind of litigation is filed only to stall all development projects. That is the problem,” and so on.
The Supreme Court’s own failure to engage scientifically with the case when it came before it, and the Chief Justice of India’s intemperate remarks from the Bench against those who have given much of their lives in the service of the environment, coupled with the fact that the NGT failed remarkably to undertake a merits-review of the Environmental Clearance as mandated by law, is a perverse inversion of their appellate duties.
Can an environmental tribunal reproduce the project proponent’s documents as its own findings and call its one-para decision a “judgment”?
The issue of both quality of judgments and discipline, finally, lies in WHO is being appointed to the NGT, keeping in mind the larger ecosystem of questionable appointments across institutions within which those appointments are made. Precedent then holds little significance. Surely, the judicial member on the NGT Bench, former Allahabad High Court judge Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh would be well versed with the plethora of precedents his bench ought to have followed in the case.
