Shri Ramashray Pandey, GM/WR inspected Electric Loco Shed at Vadodara alongwith Shri Raju Bhadke, DRM/Vadodara Division and senior officers of division.

He was briefed about the modifications and future expansion plans of the Electric Loco Shed.

During the visit, he inspected various sections of the shed, including the Pneumatic Section and Auxiliary Motor Section, Bogie section.

He was also briefed about the technical analysis and remedial measures being undertaken to achieve zero loco failures.

Shri Pankaj Singh, DRM Mumbai Central Division, highlighted the comprehensive preparations and arrangements in place at Udhna Railway Station to effectively manage the ongoing summer rush.

He stated that 112 train services, including 44 special trains, have been operated on Eastern routes during this period.

Between 1st April and 25th April, Western Railway facilitated travel for 2.8 lakh passengers, of which 1 lakh passengers travelled through special train services, reflecting effective planning and capacity augmentation to meet seasonal demand.

As of 08:30 hrs today, more than 9,000 passengers have been facilitated to travel, while a further 3,500 passengers await departure.

Well-equipped holding areas with ventilation and water facilities continue to ensure passenger comfort, while 8 additional trains are scheduled to meet demand.

Passenger movement remains orderly, well-managed, and without overcrowding, with all arrangements in place. 🚆

In view of misleading narratives being circulated regarding passenger movement at Udhna railway station, Railways places the factual position on record.

The movement of passengers including that of workers is routine and seasonal, with many travelling for festive and for personal purposes and the passenger testimonials confirm the same.

The situation remains orderly, well-regulated and normal, with regular adequate arrangements in place, and does not warrant any concern.

Passengers are advised to rely only on official communications issued by Railways and avoid unverified or misleading content.

We have announced special trains between the Mumbai area and Ahmedabad. Two trains will run from Mumbai Central to Ahmedabad, and another two trains will connect Bandra Terminus with Ahmedabad.
