Honouring a Legend of Courage!

On #MarathaDay, Shivneri Brigade under the aegis of #SouthernCommand paid solemn homage to the legendary valour and supreme sacrifice of Subedar Tanaji Malusare — a timeless symbol of fearless leadership, battlefield grit and unwavering devotion to duty.

The commemoration featured a traditional Marathas Dinner at the historic Zunjarr Wada, believed to be the site of his last meal before martyrdom, rekindling the spirit of sacrifice that defines India’s warrior ethos.

At #SinhagadFort, a solemn wreath laying ceremony, the gruelling Tanaji Run from Rajgad to Sinhagad, a demanding climb along the historic route undertaken by the brave Subedar, and the flag-off of a Cycle Expedition to Sindhudurg Fort collectively honoured a legacy forged in courage, resolve and supreme sacrifice.

The event bridged Maratha heritage with the present generation, reinforcing pride, martial spirit and an enduring commitment to selfless service — values that continue to inspire the #IndianArmy.
