My colleague @emilyykennard spotted a D.C. Circulator driving down Maryland Avenue NE this morning.
Did a random person buy one after the D.C. government offloaded them when service ended? Is the Circulator making a grand return to D.C.?
It's no to both, sadly.
Welcome to our newest Coach Operator apprenticeship graduates at Local 697-Toledo, OH. These are the first graduates of the new innovative apprenticeship program developed by our Local and TARTA. Under International President John Costa’s leadership, our Union has set the standard for developing these important apprenticeship programs in the transit industry.
No second Metro stop in the final Commanders stadium master plan, despite many residents' assertion that the rapid transit bus — the "Gold Line" — won't be sufficient.
@wmata has said it + an expansion to the existing station can handle the traffic.

In honor of World #CarFreeDay, thank you for choosing Metro – today and every day. 🚇🚌🚲
According to @APTA_info:
⛽ 6 billion gallons of gas is saved each year by using public transit
💸 87% of trips directly benefit the local economy
💼 50% of trips power the workforce
No mode of transportation is perfect, but we’re still the best way to get around the DMV!
DC, we're launching our People's Survey! I want to know what's working, what isn't, and what our people-first government can do to help. Please share your thoughts with me at https://t.co/ck6dE3A1WE!

AMC shuttle drivers at NIH held a practice picket today. Workers have been without a contract for months and the negotiations have dragged on. Now the company is threatening to take back benefits workers earned in past contracts! Enough is enough! #ATU689FairContracts
Happy Labor Day! ✊🏾
A more affordable DC means giving workers more power.
Today, I joined @DCLabor at the Greenbelt Labor Day parade and Friday I joined a seminar about how local government can partner with worker orgs and unions to co-enforce labor law.
Happy Labor Day!

There’s a lot we know about the forthcoming Commanders stadium at RFK. One thing we don’t (yet): how anybody will get there.

Bus Operators deserve a safe workplace. A Bus Operator quoting the fare (buses already have pre-recorded announcements and signs btw) leads to disputes, which can result in violence. There was no good reason to reverse a 10-year old policy.
