@fiverr That wasn't a very good move, looking back. Reputation is hard to change. The name "fiverr" is just not great, branding wise. Tying the company name to a price is... unfortunate, and that name being "fiver" but misspelt is also... a choice. I think a rebranding would be great.
@LamSpyrou Yeah. Doesn't work for me. It doesn't understand clients. To sell packaged things, it should work, but for that you don't need a bot at all, clients can just order. For custom offers, where you need to analyse assets, etc., it doesn't. Also, clients hate talking to AI, they ghost
@LamSpyrou@Upwork How long did it take, and how did you land clients? I've looked into upwork, but I much prefer the fiverr way. I don't want to be bidding on requests (which are almost always low quality). Not to mention having to start again with rock bottom pricing, on a new account.
@LamSpyrou If the end revenue is the same, higher prices > more clients in every way except one - with more clients you're safer regarding some dropping out, and are less reliant on each. However, everything else is worse.
@iambenleavitt If you're looking for serious editors, you should include some idea of budgets. I run a video editing agency, and I never send DM's to posts like these because the budgets are almost always insulting.
@farzyness 95% of the planet will pick China. Not because they like China, but because they despise the current leadership in the US. China is not trustworthy, but the US is much worse right now. It destroyed a century of good will in a couple months.
@VasilyKichigin Mine are so few and far between, I never had the need to do it in bulk. Haven't had a cancelation in well over a year - I'd much rather highly qualify the client before, and only start the order once I'm 100% sure of it. Much safer.
