Pretty fun little game. Loved the humor. Very nice 16-bit aesthetics, and the world is fun to explore. The spells completely break the game’s difficulty, though, and combat is beyond stiff. Needed a few more months of polishing.
Absolutely loved it! The gameplay is tight, fun, and the level design employs it extremely well. Loved the humor! The soundtrack is also great. Looking forward to the dev’s next game.
A wonderful trilogy that I thing I won’t ever tire of playing again and again. DKC1 is pure joy, boasting some of the best music I’ve ever heard. DKC2 is the perfect sequel, where everything is bigger and better. DKC3, while a step down, is still a fantastic game. Love them all!
As a fan of SH2, I absolutely loved the remake! It kept the core of the original (even though it is not near as explicit with its more serious themes) and upped the scare factor up to 11. Fantastic visuals, amazing sound design and beautifully bleak art direction. A must play.
Pure gory poetry. Amazing, amazing game. Spectacular sound design, stellar animation and a beautifully eerie world. It keeps you on your toes, and scares the hell out of it when it wants to. Absolutely loved it. Just don’t think too hard about its story.
A fantastic masterpiece of a game. Loved the world-building, the tight controls, the extensive customization, the beautiful art style, the amazing music and pretty much everything else I can think of.
It’s still very bad at communicating things to the player, but its undeniable charm, addicting gameplay and memorable environments still make it a must-play. I loved it.
As a Metroid fan, I am sad. From underwhelming to borderline mediocre in every aspect I can think of. Couldn’t bother going through all three phases of the last boss, as I had no idea who he was or what he wanted. I wanted to kill all NPCs (*specially* Armstrong).
A really good Fatal Frame game. Its beautiful art direction, complimented by an eerie, ominous soundtrack, makes for some great world building. Some enemies are overused to the point of becoming tedious (I’m looking at you, tit monster). Just wished it were a Silent Hill game…
Everything I wanted a sequel to be: bigger, better and more fleshed out, while respecting the lore (event the dlc!) of the previous game. Also, Gildun!!! Loved the NPCs, loved how the story was expanded, loved the new mechanics and the new enemies. Can’t wait to fight Nemesis!!!
I really liked the story, and the way the DLC and side quests were intertwined with it. The gameplay can be a little repetitive, but the story kept me going. It could use a minimal, though. Visual glitches are EVERYWHERE!!!
Loved the combat and the art direction. It has some extremely boring parts, but overall I liked it. Gorgeous when in motion, but the lazy texture loading in between camera cuts is annoying as hell, and some boss fights are infuriatingly unbalanced. Also, fuck Bajie. Seriously.
Everything I could ever want from a sequel. A fantastic ending for a marvelous story. I absolutely loved the 60+ hours I’ve spent with it. Here’s hoping we’ll see much more of Kratos The Rebuilder in the future.
Excellent gameplay, excellent story, beautiful music, beautiful art direction and masterfully written and interpreted NPCs. Not a big fan of the rune chests, though. Loved the game.
The story is intriguing (up to the last third, when it all goes to shit), it’s graphically beautiful (when the rendering isn’t glitching), and the facial animations are astounding. Combat is ASS though (reason why the devs let an option that lets you one hit kill all enemies)
Its story is childishly simple yet mindbogglingly convoluted, and more often than not the game struggles in conveying to the player exactly what must be done in order to progress. It has both great sound and art design, though. Glad I bought it on sale.
While the story is half decent and the art style is nice, the atrocious combat and goddamn awful hitbox detection made me quit in 2h or so. Needed a couple more moths of polishing, this one.
The best game I’ve played in a long long time. Fascinating story, fun, engaging and rewarding gameplay, great bosses, beautiful soundtrack and gorgeous art direction. I can hardly wait for the DLC!
Even though the Switch port is goddamn awful, it is clear that the dev knows how to create a tense atmosphere. Some pretty good jumpscares, just enough to keep you on your toes. Too bad it crashed on me and wouldn’t load my save file anymore.
