Our Years 7 to 10 NSP girls played at the Multi-Cultural Carnival today. They had a great day, mixing up their teams and positions and playing for fun! Well done to the girls who stepped out of their comfort zones and umpired today and thank you to the fantastic Year 11 coaches!

Children's Book Week 2019 was celebrated in style at the college this year. There were free books giveaway, dress ups in Harry Potter costumes, Harry Potter and banned book quizzes, treasure hunts and jellybean competition with attractive prizes to be won!

Our Yr 11 Children, Family and Community class is supporting Share the Dignity 'It's in the Bag' charity drive. Help us by donating to women in need this Christmas. Female hygiene products, toiletries and everyday basic luxury products can be dropped off at the front office. TY!

At lunchtime today, a sausage sizzle was held to raise funds for additional PBS projects. Organised by the Year 11 Career & Enterprise students and the PBS team, the sausage sizzle was a great hit with the students!

Today our Year 9 Netball Specialist Program girls played a scratch match against Emmanuel Catholic College. Thank you Emmanuel College for traveling to our new show court for some match practice.

The college ran activities, challenges and classes that tied in with the Science Week (12-16th Aug) theme of 'Destination Moon: More Missions, More Science' to celebrate 50 Years since the first moon landing (1969 – 2019) and everything related to space travel and technology.

Subject Selection Online (SSO) will open today Fri 9th Aug at 4pm for Year 9 students to make their Year 10 course selections for 2020.

Our Year 8 Netball Specialist Program girls and staff hosted our visiting Japanese exchange students with a special netball shooting session on Tue 6th Aug.

Activities including games such as Trench Warfare, quizzes and a Poverty Lunch have been taking place this week to celebrate HASS week. The highlight is a speech by Ms. Gibbs who discussed the progression of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander rights from past to present.

Our talented Year 10 Visual Arts students used gouache paint on paper to create paintings of Australian native animals during Semester One. They worked in the style of WA Aboriginal Artist Sally Morgan, focusing on pattern and borders in their work.

Our Yr 11 & 12 Cert 2 Hospitality students completed an assessment by catering dinner for staff during the Parent-Teacher Night yesterday. Students are to be highly commended on the professionalism and outstanding service which they provided and all staff appreciated this.

VacSwim provides children aged five to 17 years with the opportunity to learn to swim during the school holidays at many locations across the State.
