There's no salary that will ever be enough. Resign and start your own thing. Very fair. You take all the returns, just like you do with all the losses.
Thank you, Hon. Dr. @musenero Monica, Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, and the MD of UEDCL for your prompt response in restoring a reliable power supply in Sembabule through the installation of brand-new transformers.
Your swift intervention will greatly improve electricity reliability for households, businesses, and public services in the district. We appreciate your commitment to delivering better services to the people.
Barugahara Balaam Ateenyi
Minister of Local Government
Thank you to the leaders and residents of Sembabule District for the interactive and open engagement that led to the arrest of four public officers over alleged corruption. These include the Town Clerk, the Chief Finance Officer, the District Land Officer, Mr. Kananura, and the Forest Officer.
The District Health Officer, who is alleged to have stolen hospital equipment, will also be formally charged before the Anti-Corruption Court.
All the officers mentioned will be interdicted, and new officers will be deployed to the district to pave the way for a transparent, impartial, and expeditious investigation. The Chief Administrative Officer will also be recalled to headquarters.
I extend my sincere appreciation to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, State House Legal, the Ministry of Works technical team, the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID), the Internal Security Organisation (ISO), the Office of the President, Crime Intelligence, the Uganda Peopleโs Defence Forces (UPDF), and all the leaders and stakeholders participating in the Expose the Corruption mission. Your dedication, professionalism, and commitment to accountability are helping restore integrity in public service.
There is no room for impunity or corruption in this Kisanja. We remain committed to strengthening accountability, restoring public trust, and improving service delivery across all local governments.
Finally, I wish to inform the people of Mbarara City and the greater Ankole region that the Expose the Corruption mission continues. I will be in Mbarara City next Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. I invite all citizens with credible information on corruption, abuse of office, and poor service delivery to come forward and join us in the fight against corruption. Together, we can build transparent, accountable, and efficient local governments.

โBelgian Prime Minister: More than 15,000 people in Gaza need prosthetics due to limb loss. 10,000 of these victims are children... Where is human dignity in all of this?
Today early afternoon on the way to Entebbe I witnessed humility in action. @cdfupdf convoy was driving low speed stopping at traffic lights all the way, no sirens , no pushing cars off the road. A lesson for those whose motorcades cause chaos on our roads.
The issue raised by the coffee seedling suppliers in Masaka has been resolved. His Excellency the President @KagutaMuseveni , through the State House Comptroller @JaneBarekye , will ensure that the suppliers are paid fully tomorrow morning.
I also wish to inform the nation that the matter appears to have been escalated due to political differences and the stress faced by the seedling operators. The contract to supply the coffee seedlings was awarded to Chairman Bulegeya of Masaka. Hon. Justine Namere only witnessed the arrangement and was not a contracting party to the suppliers, contrary to the allegations made by the lady yesterday.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
