The energy is REAL — and so is the momentum!
Houston & Austin showed up big for my birthday fundraisers, and I’m beyond grateful. Huge thanks to everyone who came out, supported, and helped make it happen.
Let’s keep it rolling!
Got to speak to volunteers at the @LU286_JAC this morning before they kicked off a phone banking shift. Y’all - these are first time phone bankers committed to getting out the vote for our Pro-Jobs Dem candidates up and down the ballot. Don’t let them down! VOTE. #txlege
I don't usually post but when I do, it's for a good cause! Co-Chairing this event on May 2nd and would love to see you there! More info and tickets here: https://t.co/YXaPlU1HWA
It’d be nice if at least one major Buffet obit mentioned that he got the idea for Margaritaville when he and Jerry Jeff Walker got frozen margaritas in Austin. Austin, which used to be a retirement community for 20somethings, inspired the song about wasting away in flip-flops.
I’m so proud that @JusticeDems is backing @GregCasar in #TX35. He’s going to bring his model of local progressive governance on housing, good jobs, climate, and justice reform to Washington. Let’s do this, Texas!
I'm honored to have the endorsement of the @ExpressNews for #TX35!
"We recommend Greg Casar. We were impressed with his bold, progressive ideas and see someone who has the potential to be a powerful voice in Congress." #SATX#OurFightOurFuture

On Tuesday, the Commissioners Court will vote on whether or not Travis County spends $80 million to build a new jail.
I wrote this piece with Annette Price from @Grassroots_News on why we need to invest in our community, not new jails.

Did you know @TexasObserver is one of the oldest alternative news sources in the U.S.? Still operating thanks to generous donors. Show your support for watchdog journalism this #GivingTuesday2020#GivingNewsDay !
"The Texas HDCC raised more than $1.3 million from January to June. That amount surpasses all its fundraising in the 2018 cycle, when Democrats picked up 12 seats in the chamber."

A little late but for #GivingTuesday I'm all in for @TexasObserver and I hope you'll give what you can. As coronavirus spreads across Texas, their work has never been more important. https://t.co/FkJvjH2KuD
This letter goes against all guidance provided by public health experts.
It's disgraceful that members of the Texas House are using
racial, dogwhistle language like "Wuhan Virus"
Matt Krause and Tony Tinderholt should be ashamed of themselves.

Excited to join @TexasObserver's board with a few other great folks! I'm thrilled to share that for the next 12 hours (til 10pm cst), my new board colleagues and I will be matching gifts up to $2,500 to the TxO's housing beat Kickstarter campaign: https://t.co/UTIOHLCE5G
In LA learning. Here with @capmetroceo seeing how rapid transit can reflect the best of a city. Transit and live music bringing people together. Feels like just what ATX needs! #ProjectConnect
