BREAKING: Austin City Manager Spencer Cronk has been fired, effective tomorrow.
He will receive a one-year severance of $463,000 under a city ordinance in which he was hired in 2018.
The decision was unanimous.
Former city manager Jesus Garza will serve as interim.

Former Travis County Sherrif (1997-2004) @MargoFrasier says the proposed 4 year contract weakens police oversight.

📢 Join us tomorrow morning at City Hall to support Item 1 and let City Council know we want to let the voters have their say on police oversight in May. Item 1 would extend the current police contract rather than entering a new, 4-year contract that would pre-empt our vote.
