Wool is a technology so good that if a startup unveiled it tomorrow, it would raise a fortune.
Run through the spec sheet with a straight face.
It keeps you warm even when it's soaking wet, which almost nothing else does. It is naturally flame-resistant. It doesn't catch and melt onto your skin like plastic does. It chars, refuses to sustain the flame, and puts itself out when you take the fire away. It manages moisture, breathes, and resists smell so well you can wear it for days. It bends tens of thousands of times without snapping.
And when you're finally done with it, you can put it in the ground and in a matter of months it's gone, rotted back into the soil, feeding it nitrogen on the way out.
Then there's the supply chain, which is the part no engineer could ever replicate. It grows back. Every year, on its own, on nothing but grass and rain, on a sheep that was going to stand on that hillside anyway. A self-renewing, fireproof, compostable insulation fibre with a production input of weather.
We replaced it with polyester. Oil, spun into thread, that melts on you in a fire, sheds plastic into the sea with every wash, and sits in landfill for centuries when you're done.
We had the better version the whole time. It says baa.
"30 women were murdered… not one road was closed, not one protest. What was the connection? They were murdered by white locals."
Belfast resident Mark gives @BenKentish a stark picture of the riots unfolding in his city.
Early morning interview on CO initiative 109 to protect girls sports.
Them: What is the proof that there is an issue?
Me: Well, in 7 states boys have won titles in track and field. This year. This past weekend a boy won the shot put in West Virginia. A boy is sweeping the jumping events in California. Again.
Them: Yeah but is it an issue in CO?
Me: In JeffCo county over 60 boys have taken roster spots from girls in school sports.
Them: Why do you care so much?
Me: I care about fairness and equal opportunity for girls. For my daughter. Not to mention safety.
Them: Who says it's not fair or safe?
Me: Boys are 10-50% stronger/faster depending on the sport. That's why Title IX exists. The intent of Title IX was to protect girls'/women's rights. Not "gender ID."
Them: Why are you doing this?
Me: Title IX was created for a reason in 1972. I was a beneficiary as a young athlete. Girls deserve that same opportunity today. This just serves to reify Title IX, which we shouldn't have to do. But we do.
Them: But what about the trans athletes?
Me: I care about the girls. What about them?
Them: Doesn't everyone deserve to compete?
Me: Everyone can compete. The boys can compete in boys. Bodies compete not identities. 16 year old boys can't play little league.
Them: But what's the difference? If there's just a few?
Me: Would we allow one athlete on performance enhancing drugs to compete and steal medals? One would be too many. One is too many.
Them: How will it work?
Me: The same way it works to show proof of age. Show a birth certificate, or passport or paperwork from doctor.
Them: Isn't that onerous?
Me: No. My daughter had to show her passport a few weeks ago to compete in the U10 category in a tournament.
Them: Not everyone can do that.
Me: Everyone did. It was an Hispanic league tournament. More than half the families didn't speak English as a first language. They all showed proof of age for their kids.
Back to the beginning on loop. Over and over again. At least there were no questions on genital checks.
We now have had male state champions in girls' high school track and field in SEVEN states (indoor and outdoor combined).....
🌟California
🌟Oregon
🌟Washington
🌟West Virginia
🌟Connecticut
🌟Maine
🌟New Hampshire
.......but I'm ASSURED that this hardly ever happens😉
Billionaires, serial killers, and school shooters are also given quite a bit of attention despite being far less than 1% of the population.
Relative population size is irrelevant when speaking about the potential impact on others. A single man in a women's locker room at the gym has ruined that experience for every single woman who uses that facility. A single man on a woman's team has created unfairness for every single woman in that entire league
The truth is he outperforms more than 98% of high school girls in the shot put; and he's #1 in the state. Nowhere near "back of the back."
Here's what is really happening:

“If you haven’t been female in this extremely specific way…”
Ok but being female is actually extremely specific. If it weren’t, we wouldn’t have the category or the word.
Today, I was given a permanent ban of posting on my Facebook page, @Meta. The page can exist - apparently - but I am not allowed to post on it anymore. The page has been deemed controversial due to the Giggle v Tickle case and increased popularity of 25,000 new followers in a week. I don't want to labor the irony of being banned on a social networking platform while fighting in court for the right to ban men from a woman only social networking platform, it is what it is. Frankly, I'd love to have the same right that you do, @Meta.
Women are routinely punished for not accepting men as women. It doesn't turn those men into women. Nothing will.
In case you’re wondering about the current state of House Democrats: they just voted against establishing a Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum.
Their objection? It didn’t include a dedicated wing for trans history.
You almost have to admire the consistency. They managed to turn a women’s museum into an argument about men.
Did you know Home Depot funds child sex changes through their employee health plan?
I know because @HRC is proud of it…
This morning I spoke at their shareholders meeting to confront corporate America’s secret sex changes and demand they STOP
