The way companies are editing pictures of models to make them skinnier, taller, or more muscular are putting unrealistic body ideals in the minds of everyone. This is causing a lot of health problems mentally and physically and it needs to stop. #gndr1000

After reading the sections I find it crazy at how manipulative the government could be to use laws in different ways to their own advantage. #gndr1000

I was horrified to read that when the British was colonizing Canada that they were not violent towards the natives because they wanted them as allies against the Americans but used alcohol to "destroy them" instead. #gndr1000

After reading the chapter entitled "The Secret of Slavery in Canada" it shocked me to learn there were actually laws created to take away people's freedom and turn them into slaves. #gndr1000

Its shocking to read about what people believed in the past about disabilities and how these people were treated as well as to still see this ableist behaviour still occurring in today's society #gndr1000

Watching the CNN documentary "the sissy boy experiment" it truly scared me. The lengths people would go to and still go to today to try and get rid of things they don't like even people is shocking. #gndr1000

After reading about intersexion and Maria's experience with the sex verification test it opened my eyes to so many new awful things that I had no idea was happening and had happened in the world #gndr1000
