@RegularDude007@ColePinkston@BMattAU 100%. Not just because it could bounce into the end zone, it’s also a lot harder to muff a punt inside the 10 if you’re not trying to catch it.
@SwipeWright I didn’t vote in the poll, and in the vast majority of situations I’m a “humans are more important than animals” person. With that said, it is VERY easy to not get mauled by a tiger.
The execution of Nidal Hassan feels like a microcosm of Trump II policies in many ways. It goes something like this:
1. Take a popular action/policy (executing a terrorist who murdered servicemen, deporting illegal immigrants).
2. Carry out the action/policy in a manner tailor-made to appeal to online MAGA anons, for whom the performative cruelty of the process is as important as the policy.
3. Manage to lose public support while implementing a very popular action/policy.
@fritzed_you Pretty much everyone I’ve seen who has given a detailed defense against the term genocide has done so in good faith, and I’ve yet to see a single person on the other side defend the use of genocide in good faith. So pretty much the opposite of what you’re saying here.
It will never stop amazing me that people who consider themselves pro refugee, pro immigrant and general Pro Good Guys Of the Left sneeringly describe the half-dead Holocaust survivors who went to Israel after having been so failed by Europe as “settler colonialists”
