This week for
#BrandiBuiltTuesday

Tonight we used a wedge under the outside of my lead foot to work on better front-side mechanics. Learning to accept force through the inside of my lead leg, create a stronger front-side brace, and turn that forward momentum into more efficient hip rotation and power through the ball.

Always working towards efficiency, consistency, and chasing my next Personal Best✨️.

Happy #NationalCoachesDay ! 🥎

Today I want to recognize the coaches who have made some of the biggest impacts on me not only as an athlete, but as a person.

✨️Coach Brandi, Coach Montgomery, Coach @aksegars , Coach Aultman, and Coach Sarah✨️

Each of you has played an important part in my journey. You’ve challenged me, believed in me, taught me, encouraged me, and helped shape the player I am becoming.

Some coaches are part of your journey for a season, while others are there for years, but the lessons great coaches leave with you last far beyond the field.

I’m grateful for every lesson, every correction, every hard conversation, every word of encouragement, and every time you pushed me to expect more from myself.

Thank you for investing in me and helping me grow both personally and athletically. I’ll carry pieces of what each of you taught me everywhere this game takes me. ❤️

Made an error? You get 5 seconds.
5 seconds…
- to acknowledge it.
- to breathe.
- to let it go.
Then reset and get back to work.
You can’t change the last play, but you can control what you do with the next one.
Don’t let one mistake become two.
Reset. Refocus. Respond.

Monday Mindset!

Laziness kills ambition
Anger kills wisdom
Fear kills dreams
Ego kills growth
Jealousy kills peace
Doubt kills confidence

Now read that right to left.

The strikeout isn't the lesson. What happens next is.

Every kid who plays is going to fail at something bigger than a ground ball someday. Sports is where they get the reps.

Catching lesson from one year ago. It’s always good to look back and see how much the work, repetition, and consistency have paid off behind the plate. Still learning. Still working. Still getting better.

🌸🥎 FRIDAY MORNING HUDDLE
YOUR WORTH IS GREATER THAN YOUR STATS

Before you head to school, practice, or a weekend tournament, remember: one strikeout, one error, or one tough game doesn’t define you.

When you belong to Jesus, your identity rests in Him. You can work hard, learn from mistakes, and compete with confidence without letting softball determine your worth.

📖 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works.”
— Ephesians 2:10, KJV

🥎 TODAY’S CHALLENGE:
Encourage a teammate who’s struggling. Remind her she matters beyond what she does on the field.

🙏 Lord, help us find our identity in You. Give us courage to compete, humility to learn, and love for the people around us. Let our words and actions point others to Jesus. Amen.

🔥 My Performance & Development Team is DIFFERENT!

Success doesn’t happen alone. From building strength, speed & confidence, to sharpening my hitting and catching, to keeping my body healthy, mobile & ready to perform—these three are a huge part of the athlete I’m becoming.

Different roles. Same goal.

Thankful for Coach Matt, Coach Brandi, and Dr. Trina for investing in me, pushing me, and believing in my potential!

[Coach Jennifer Turner @CAASoftballAdv]

ADJUSTING YOUR EXPECTATIONS DOESN’T MEAN GIVING UP ON YOUR GOAL.

One of the hardest parts of the college recruiting process is realizing that the plan you started with may not be the plan that gets you to the finish line.

You may start recruiting with a certain division in mind.

A certain list of schools.

A certain distance from home.

A certain timeline.

And then recruiting happens.

Maybe the schools you loved aren’t showing the same level of interest.

Maybe your position is filling faster than you expected.

Maybe the offers aren’t coming on the timeline you hoped for.

Maybe you discover that a school or division you never considered actually checks more of your boxes.

That is when you PIVOT.

Pivoting isn’t failing.

Adjusting your expectations isn’t settling.

Expanding your list isn’t giving up on your dream.

Playing college softball is an extremely difficult goal. There are thousands of talented athletes chasing opportunities, limited roster spots, changing team needs, transfer portal movement, coaching changes, injuries, academics, finances, and so many other factors you can’t control.

That’s why recruiting rarely follows one perfect plan.

Sometimes you need Plan A, Plan B, Plan C…and then another plan you never expected.

The athletes who navigate this process well aren’t necessarily the ones whose recruiting journey goes exactly as planned.

They’re the ones willing to adjust when new information comes in.

Keep the goal.

Be flexible with the path.

And remember: a different opportunity than the one you originally pictured can still become the right opportunity. 🥎
