@SABCNews Don’t worry…..we are leaving. Crime will go down, the economy will boom. Those that never bothered to go to work will find inspiration from within
Meet Minenhle Ntandoyenkosi Gumede, MP Bulawayo North. The only MP out of 12 and the proportional representation group in the province to say NO to constitutional amendment 3. May the people of those listed suburbs remember her
As we have always said, ZANU PF does NOT have the numbers they needed. Only 181 ZANU PF MPs voted in favour of #CAB3 falling short of the required 187. The Bill only passed in the National Assembly because of the Tshabangu factor. History will judge harshly those who betrayed the people.
@TichRay@Goromigos The whole nonsense played out on social media, like a horror movie. It's quite scary considering the little outrage that went with it.Anyway, Zanuoids perfected normalising the abnormal, like someone dying in a sewage in the capital in this modern world
#LetFreedomSing Listen , remember what I told you before . I mean, what the good Bishop told me in 2000 ? He said :
"Whoever sins with you and for you will certainly one day sin against you,"
Values do not matter to them . Neither does loyalty . Their focus is always on utility and leverage [ in other words , who or what they can use , abuse or misuse]
@hwendec Please stop insulting our intelligence!! WHAT IS WEONG IS WRONG! All these roundabout “explanations” are an excuse for what we already know you are going to do. “Wakachimwira chinhu ichi”. In Hwende’s voice
Rutendo Matinyarare,
I have followed your political journey for years, and that is precisely why I am writing this letter.
You were not born inside the ZANU PF establishment. You built your name challenging Robert Mugabe and exposing what you believed was wrong with the old order. When the military intervention of 2017 happened, you became one of the strongest supporters of the new administration. You defended President Emmerson Mnangagwa when many Zimbabweans doubted him. You defended the Second Republic. You defended the anti-sanctions campaign with a level of energy that even many ZANU PF officials could not match.
You asked Zimbabweans to believe that a new era had arrived.
Then something changed.
When the debate around Constitutional Amendment No. 3 and the 2030 agenda emerged, you suddenly became one of the loudest voices warning that the country was abandoning constitutional principles. You criticized the very leadership you had spent years defending. For the first time in a long time, many Zimbabweans who had disagreed with you began listening to you. Not because they had become your supporters, but because they believed you were finally putting principle ahead of loyalty.
Now, after meetings, reconciliation efforts and public displays of goodwill from people close to power, your tone has changed once again.
That is why people are asking questions.
Not because you reconciled. Not because you accepted peace. But because Zimbabweans are tired of public figures whose principles seem to change whenever their relationship with power changes.
When you defended Mnangagwa, you spoke with certainty. When you attacked the 2030 agenda, you spoke with certainty. Now that you are reconciling with the same people you recently criticized, you again speak with certainty.
The country cannot be wrong in all three moments.
Either the concerns you raised about constitutionalism, governance and the future of Zimbabwe were real, or they were not. If they were real, they did not disappear because relationships were repaired. If they were not real, then Zimbabweans deserve an explanation.
What many citizens see is a cycle that has damaged this country for decades: people challenge power when they are outside the room, then soften when they are invited back inside.
Zimbabwe does not need more political converts. It needs consistency. It needs people whose positions are guided by principles, not proximity to power.
Your greatest contribution to Zimbabwe will not be defending a President. It will not be defending a party. It will not be defending a faction.
It will be defending the truth, even when the truth becomes uncomfortable for your friends, your allies and yourself.
That is the Rutendo Matinyarare many Zimbabweans are still waiting to see.

@matinyarare@bbmhlanga You were not “fighting sanctions” from a moral standpoint. It was for money. Not nationalism. When you were overlooked for payment the real Rutendo showed up. Kuita kubuda musaga! Without any shame. We are expecting you to start tweeting nonsense again now the payment is promised
I stand to benefit PERSONALLY from CAB 3. By all selfish calculations, I should support it. Some have whispered, "Take the opportunity while it is there." But leadership is not measured by what benefits us; it is measured by what benefits the people. When I asked myself, WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE? I found every reason to OPPOSE it.
