If you think about it, isn't Hanasaki Miyabi's story just like a goddamn idol anime plot:

>just some random nerd in 2019 who’s into vtubers
>audition for a vtuber company you look up to, despite that company only having female streamers
>probably a silly idea but ehh who cares!
>you end up getting interviewed by the CEO himself
>and then he actually hires you?? for... his "new project"?

>you’re excited at first, but quickly realize "new project" also means starting from zero
>you debut to just a couple viewers and a lot of wary, if not downright hostile whispers
>you try to not let it bother you and just do your best as "the first member of holostars, hanasaki miyabi!!!!"
>it's tough for a while, but eventually more members join the group
>some of them you develop a close bond with, others will leave again
>as you focus on growth, the company tells you to become an idol. as in, an idol that performs on stage
