‘CHINESE COVE’
A former 36-hectare resort in Cavite is being converted into a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) island, which could accommodate around 20,000 to 50,000 Chinese workers.
Formerly known as Island Cove, the property was previously owned by the Remulla family and was reportedly sold in 2018 to unnamed Chinese-Filipino investors engaged in POGO operations.
Here’s what you need to know about the said POGO hub and the rise of Chinese online gaming companies in the Philippines.
“May I just ask you why that’s funny? I’m asking you about the plundering of large sums of money from the Filipino people.”
Thank you @FergusonNews for calling out the flippant, revisionist response from the President of the #Philippines.

In a capitalist set-up, Singapore’s desire to monopolize the show makes economic sense, thus, the sneaky offer, which really is a brilliant business move.
But @taylorswift13 accepting it, in disregard of her fans who are now forced to spend extra, is another thing worth blaming.
Chris Martin called Manila traffic “bullshit” with Bongbong Marcos in the audience tonight. As he should’ve. LOL. Iconic 😂🤣 #Coldplay#ColdplayManila#ColdplayBulacan
“There’s only really one thing that remains, the traffic in Manila is completely insane.” - Chris Martin
