The USA has the third largest population in the world. Many of those people rely on cars to get around and is number 3 for most cars per 1,000 people. Like many others in the US, people use cars to get to high school increasing carbon footprint. @franklinlorax #apespop

Wisconsin is a temperate forest biome. Because of this, we go through all 4 seasons, and our plants have adapted to survive the cold winters.During the winter, trees fall into a period of dormancy or sleep after loosing all their leaves in the fall. @franklinlorax #apesecology

This is my crested gecko, gizmo’s terrarium. A geckos habitat is a tropical rainforest, so to simulate that I have a heated lamp and spray the foliage with water. We have gauges to ensure his tank has high humidity and temps like a tropical rainforest. #apeseco @franklinlorax

Franklin is an example of a separated sewer system. In a separated system, storm water goes to local waterways so it’s important to make sure things like fertilizer and other harmful chemicals are not getting into our storm drains. @franklinlorax #apeswater
