One of the most rewarding things as a writer is when you’re mapping out story ideas and you find where characters end up. Then you realize those little facets of their personality that were just *them* even when you didn’t have a reason why, click into place like an actual plan.

If we’re talking suspense, though, I usually prefer reading at night because I can get more easily wrapped up in the story when there are zero distractions. (I prefer reading all genres at night, actually.)

In unexpected moments, I’ll remember I have friends in the world I’ve never met in person. Knowing that people who love Jesus and books as much as I do are out there, maybe thinking of me too, always makes my day better. Thank you, Lord for that gift.
