Melton United FC

Men’s football team playing in Division 2 of the SIL. Yes we have spelt St Audrys wrong...

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

Looking for 2 tickets for Bayern Munich vs St Pauli on 29th November

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

The return of Johnny Rubs. He made sure we posted this because his fans have been asking where he’s been. Here he is, as critical and as majestic as ever 🔴⚫️

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

3-1 to the over weight 40 year olds. Thanks for coming @Somershamfc1 👍🏻

[Jerome Laidlaw @JayLaidlaw]

Reaching out to all footballers locally in Suffolk.

Are you fed up of sitting on the bench not challenging for anything in your league....

Well Melton utd fc men's are looking for new players.

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

@Priceslice29 Well played lads. Your young centre back is going to be some player

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

3-0 win at a decent @saxsportsfc Even 1st half but we got on top in the 2nd (helped a little by a sinbin following our 1st goal) Once we were in front it was fairly comfortable. Great hospitality and an amazing surface to play on. MOM Valdo “mbappe” Taveres 🤟🏻🔴⚫️

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

Rubs has finished his car boot sales and he’s bloody back. 1-0 win in the junior cup against @WoolverstoneFC We scored very early and then missed a hatful of chances but held on. MOM was @GeorgeBone1988 dominating his box throughout and making some key saves 🙌

[Witnesham Wasps FC @witneshamwasps]

We are looking for a team to train with throughout the winter at orminston academy 7-8 on a Tuesday night (on 1/3 of the pitch).

Due to having only one side with shift workers it is difficult to secure the numbers every week.

@deejamvlogs @theadamwade @sil please retweet.

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

Last min winner saw us beat @KirtonAthletic 2-1. Karl made it 1-0 only 4 us to be pegged back in the 2nd half. We were kept in a fairly even game by GK George but we asserted ourselves 4 last 15mins resulting in a winner from @hough_tennis. MOM George. FYI Rubs is back next wk 👍🏻

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

This afternoon we followed on from a good win last week with a 9-1 win over @IpsAthleticSIL Great performances all over the pitch but the stand out was @hough_tennis with a hatty and two assists 🔴⚫️

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

@BramfordClub I heard his Achilles is held together with sellotape

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

Just a reminder that preseason football starts again for us NEXT WEDNESDAY 2nd June. 7.30pm - 8pm @ Dumbarton Park.

Please contact @JayLaidlaw or come along. We welcome new faces looking for new challenges.

Thanks

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

We’re looking for friendlies from July onwards (with the exception of the 17th as we already have a game). We’re unable to host due to cricket but we’re obviously happy to half all costs please reply to the club or to @JayLaidlaw 👍🏻

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

We’re looking to start a reserve team, built up with a group of young players looking to enjoy their football together. If any U16's- 18's teams looking to stick together and want to form a club under the Melton banner, utilising our great facilities, pls get in touch. Pls share

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

@theadamwade Don’t with that. We’ve played every game and been fully behind the return but this week feels different as people will be seeing elderly family members 6 days after the game. The risk to them isn’t worth it in our opinion

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

2/2 vulnerable relatives. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to @saxsportsfc We can’t wait to be back at it in January.

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

We’ve taken the difficult decision not play our game with @saxsportsfc this weekend. We’ve loved being back and we’re fully behind the return to football but with Xmas right around the corner we feel it’s right that we do what we can to reduce the risk to our elderly, more 1/2

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

@saxsportsfc Well done lads you deserved it today. Got it done early and then sat in well and hit us at the right time. Good substantial meals had by all afterwards. Look forward to the return next week, not on a ploughed field 👌

[Melton United FC @audreys_st]

Poor show today against @saxsportsfc 1-0 down inside 10 seconds and 2-0 shortly after. A competitive game we eventually lost 3-2 against a dogged Sax. Fair play to them and hopefully we’ll put it right next week. Rubs doesn’t like burgers but he did have a substantial meal 👌🍔❌

[Wickham Market FC @WickhamMarketFC]
