@bachtrack @rbo_org Good review- though I felt Maltman was excellent. Characterisation throughout was really well done - frisky Brunnie and Wotan right at the start of Act 2..brutish Hunding - that slap! - and his incredible fall. Lots to relish

There was a lot of intriguing casting in this Naples Walküre.
Starting with Maltman, I think singing only his 2nd Wotan (& rumoured to be the next RO Wotan). The part already sounded fully ‘lived in’, diction was crystal clear, the vocal highs & lows negotiated with ease. Bravo!
