I don’t really do drama. I mean, I write it, but I tend to avoid stirring pots as I’ve never been good in the kitchen without a recipe to follow.
I don’t *love* that people use gen-AI recreationally, but I can acknowledge that people can and will play with the tool. But if you’re an artist, and you’re claiming to not use AI while accepting commissions, I can only imagine you’re intentionally taking advantage of authors in the space.
And just like we can all point and laugh at the bots invading our DMs, I think we can collectively agree that falsely producing art without correctly attributing how it was made is at worst underhanded, and at best, misinformed.
I brought this to @Lyons_Pen attention because I wasn’t confident enough in my own speculation.
That being said, I’d love to be proven wrong. He apparently uses procreate, which records WIPs from beginning to end, and id love for an aspiring artist in the community to be vindicated.
