The Lauresham open air laboratory started the Auerrind Projekt as an attempt to breed a cattle breed which is similar to the extinct Aurochs.

We are pleased to inform about a new collaboration with the Smurfit Institute of Genetics at the University of Dublin. Prof. Dan Bradley now intends to extract aDNA from 3 samples of pleistocene aurochs from Germany provided by the Auerrind project. #europeanrewildingnetwork
