Latest video from the YouTube Disaster channel "Fascinating Horror" @TrueHorrorTales tells the story of BOAC 911 on March 5 1966.

The accident took place less than 24 hours after the Canadian Pacific Flight 402 crash: in fact, BOAC 911 passed near the DC-8 remains at Tokyo International Airport on the take-off run for its ill-fated flight, as seen in this section from his video.

The Asiana crash in San Francisco was 13 years ago

July 6 2013: Asiana Airlines Flight 214, a B-777, crashes in San Francisco (US), 3 of 307 aboard die. On landing, Jet approached too low and slow: its tail struck a seawall and was ripped off, and the aircraft cartwheeled on the runway. Investigation pointed pilot actions, with factors such as training, breach of SOP, inadequate supervision of trainee pilots, and fatigue, among others.

“Close to the greatest aviation disaster in history”

July 7 2017 – Air Canada Flight 759 (an A320) is on approach to S. Francisco KSFO (US), when it lines up to land on a taxiway occupied by four other planes (combined, the five jets had over 1000 pax). The approaching jet went as low as 59 ft and missed one aircraft by only 14 ft before the crew aborted the maneuver.

The four planes on the ground were three United Airlines jets (Flight 1118, B737 - and Flights 1 and 863 - both B-787) and Philippine Airlines 115 [A340]. The four jets were loaded with pax and fuel, and combined with Flight 759, the total was over 1000 passengers.

Inquiry pointed to the main cause as confusion of the runway with the parallel taxiway, with contributing causes including the crew's failure to use the instrument landing system (ILS), as well as pilot fatigue. Other issues noted were related to SOP, CRM, training, and NOTAMs

Il s'est rebellé contre le néo-colonialisme occidental (le fait d'imposer des règles du foot dans lesquels il est interdit de frapper l'adversaire).

Fascinant. N'avoir pour boussole morale, jusque dans le football, que la lutte des classes et le combat contre l'Occident.
