I’m not sad. What a ride this team took this country on. The timelines talking about soccer and did for all of qualifying and a World Cup. An iconic goal. A sense of belonging. The world waking up. They have been for a while, thanks to the women, but Canada is a soccer country.
I really wish people would stop drastically using the scenarios of rape or incest as the sole premise for an abortion. A woman doesn’t have to be in a traumatic situation for it to be reason enough. In fact there is zero explanation that needs to be given.
All Canadians—especially all Canadian women who care about a woman’s right to choose—need to be active, vigilant, and speak out.

Through today’s positivity video, I am sending congratulations to Canada’s national soccer team for going to the World Cup this year for the first time in 36 years. @CanadaSoccerEN#CANMNT#GoCanadaGo
.@ZelenskyyUa's tv address to the Russian (!) people might be the most moving speech that I've ever seen in my entire life. The whole world needs to see, understand and share this crucial Ukrainian message.

If you own or manage a restaurant in Alberta and plan to continue to require proof of vaccination after the REP is cancelled tonight, I would like to speak to you. My DMs are open and my email is in my bio.
Update: The first doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for kids between the ages of 5 and 11 have arrived. We’ll have 2.9 million doses in the country by the end of the week - that’s enough for every eligible child to get their first shot. So please, get your kids vaccinated.
You know, I thought I would be angry, or at least annoyed with the unvaxxed in ICU. But I’m not. Because as I walk around, seeing patient after patient on their bellies, fielding calls from worried family, analyzing ever worsening bloodwork, reading patients histories…
And though most who read this thread know that vaccination can prevent almost all of this, it is why those of us in healthcare struggle knowing this is now preventable. It’s a thought that torments us through every day of those 6 weeks.
Does the vaccine work?
1 out of every 789 unvaccinated Albertan 12+ is currently in hospital with COVID.
