On Friday, Microsoft announced the End of Life for HoloLens 2 as Dec 31, 2027 and a "Last Time Buy" to their Mixed Reality Partner Program. The end of life for HoloLens (1st Gen) is Dec 10, 2024, devices will "continue to function, however will no longer receive security updates or technical support."

#VisionPro pushes for far interactions but is that the best way?
With gaze and pinch, #Apple seems to discourage developers from implementing more direct hand interactions into their experiences.
There are certainly some advantages but I thought the whole purpose of #VR and #spatialcomputing was to be immersed and feel like you are interacting with #digital objects as if they were real.
I am even more convinced after testing this SDK from SpectreXR that takes advantage of the Nvidia physics engine to make hand interactions feel more natural.
Would you use more direct interactions like in the video or stick with far gaze+pinch?

Ves a la otra persona moverse en tu espacio (espacio que puedes mover y modificar) y automáticamente todas las apps con SharePlay se han activado. Hemos estado viendo un momento de Vengadores Endgame teniendo la pantalla delante mía y a Alberto al lado comentando la jugada con su Spatial Persona. Solo ha sido un ratito porque teníamos lío los dos, pero esto pinta maravilloso. No tiene sonido, porque no se graba por privacidad de la llamada.
