Shout out to @KnightsBaseball pitcher Zach Franklin for giving my eldest son a sports memory he will never forget.

He’s not super into baseball but I took him to the game tonight for some father-son time, and he patiently waited the entire game hoping to catch a foul ball.

What he got was better. Franklin at the end of the game tossed him a ball. And he’s hooked now. The entire ride home he was talking about his ball and the schedule and Franklin’s gesture.

Sports are wonderful, man. Kindness is even better.
