Due to budget constraints. Public Works and Hatch Hill facilities will be closed this coming Monday June 22nd. Both facilities will be open again for services on Tuesday June 23rd.

Good news Augusta! Single sort is back on here at the public works facility. We will be accepting recycling during normal business hours 7am - 4pm. With extended hours on Wednesday evening.

Reminder! We will be doing a City wife leaf collection on Monday June 1st. Please have leaves bagged and curbside by 7am. Also make sure bags weigh less than 40lbs. Biodegradable bags are best but plastic bags will be accepted as well. Any questions please give us a call 626-2435

McGee's will be installing a deep storm basin today and connecting sewer services between 14 Columbia and 28 Columbia. The roadway will be close between these addresses. Access to the state lab and BGS can be made via Union Street entrance.

Thursday rubbish is happening today. Make sure rubbish is secured in whole solid plastic bags not weighing more than 40lbs. Remember we may be earlier than we normally are due to extra trucks on the routes. Thank you for helping us collect safely and efficiently. #Augustarocks

Due to the COVID virus and CDC guidelines we can only have one driver and one rubbish thrower in a truck so we currently we have two or more trucks on a run. Reminder rubbish needs to be curbside by 7 am on the day of your collection and all items need to be in a bagged

Update on Hatch Hill payments and procedures during this Covid-19 epidemic. Please also note the landfill is now closed Saturdays for the time being - hours will be Monday thru Friday 8am to 4pm

Due to this continued social distancing, Public Works remains closed to the Public, thus no single sort drop off available at this time. Once circumstances change, we will re-open the gates.

Curbside rubbish collection IS STILL HAPPENING, there is no change in the schedule. Please as always, have your rubbish curbside by 7am and bagged (maximum weight 40 lbs)
