STU alumna Shyla Augustine, BA’20, BEd’21, has won a Dr. Marilyn Trenholme Counsell Literacy Award for her “Outstanding Effort in Indigenous Literacy.’ Last year, Shyla published her children’s book, The Mi’kmaq Alphabet Book, to inspire others to learn the Mi’kmaq language.
