Yesterday a dream came true 🙏
I've watched Sportscene for the best part of 25 years and it has been a lifelong ambition to commentate on the show.
Incredibly grateful for this opportunity and thank you to everyone that has helped me over the last 15 years to get here.
Disappointed to hear the news but understand the action County have taken, I'd imagine this would have been a tough decision for Roy and Stevie to make on a personal front. Everyone at the club wanted him to succeed
On a professional note I really enjoyed working with Don.
So happy for everyone connected to Caley Thistle this evening.
A tremendous effort on and off the pitch to secure their League 1 status.
"That was one of my favourite Caley games" a post match comment from my son made me smile ever more.
The club are renowned for the excellent community work, which most Invernessians choose to ignore.
I've heard it all in 20 years and yet to hear a valid excuse why someone doesn't go to Caley Park to support their local team on a semi regular basis 2/2.
#supportlocal
The people of Newcastle showed everyone what it meant to have pride in your community, your city and your team.
As an incomer to Inverness nearly 20 years, I have said this on numerous times but put simply the people of Inverness need to learn how to embrace their team 1/2
Desperately sad situation. Really hope this great club bounces back for the sake of the supporters
Thoughts with my pals working at the club, hoping the best for them too.
Club Statement
James Stephen, Malcolm Cohen and Shane Crooks at BDO have been appointed Joint Administrators of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club (Tuesday 22nd October 2024).
A spokesperson at BDO said: “We can confirm a formal appointment has been made and Inverness Caledonian Thistle is now in administration. We understand this will be a difficult and uncertain time for the club, its staff, its loyal fan base and the local community. The Administrators will be in a position to provide further information and their plan to seek to secure the long term future of the Club in due course.”
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Interim Chairman Panos Thomas:
After months of uncertainty surrounding the future of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club, the Board of Directors have appointed local businessman Alan Savage to take charge of the struggling Highland Club to put the team in a firm financial position.
Working alongside the Club’s Board of Directors, Savage has taken the initiative to oversee the organisational restructure of the Club as they seek to remedy their financial issues, with Chief Executive Officer Scot Gardiner leaving his role with immediate effect.
The Club have also suspended negotiations with Seventy7 Ventures, who had been seeking to acquire a majority shareholding, with Savage beginning immediate work carrying out an internal forensic review of the Club’s financial position to establish plans for the Club’s future and setting the team into a viable position for new ownership.
Savage and the Board are now looking to rejuvenate the connection between Inverness Caley Thistle and the community which will be integral to the long-term future of the Club and are seeking support from local businesses to address the immediate financial shortfall until further long-term investment can be secured.
The Club are now working with Scottish sports marketing agency GRM Marketing to engage with a number of investment leads and commercially drive the club forward.
Inverness Caley Thistle is hopeful that the community will once again rally around the team and come together to support the new foundations being established.
