In February 1986 I travelled back to my hometown of Manchester to see the theatrical adaptation of Russell Hoban’s Riddley Walker at the Royal Exchange Theatre directed by Braham Murray. Arguably the most exciting theatre experience of my life. Aside from my own theatre work !

Friends! I told Mum that Baby Dog needed some Quality Time with me to settle him down, so we had some time out front, doing Neighbourhood Watch, which we both love. Ralphy even came to join us, and we had a lovely, peaceful time. Just what was needed ❤️

Yesterday all my items were stolen in Eastbourne including my stats book which has 20 years worth of details in. Laptops, phones, clothes, shavers etc can all be replaced but this can’t and is useless to anyone else. It’s in a plastic folder you can see in the left hand side of this photo. Can anyone in that neck of the woods please keep an eye out. I’m gutted about this.

I’m sorry, this is total bollocks. I have been looking after my river for a decade and you have done absolutely nothing to support me and the other hundreds of volunteers who give up their free time to do your job for you and to stop the river we love from dying.

This picture is the part of the Aldersbrook that we haven’t yet restored. Do you agree that allowing one of the ancient rivers of London to disappear beneath a layer of sewage, silt, rubbish & knotweed is a disgrace? If so, when can we expect EA teams down in the river to sort it out?

A moment we still can't quite
believe.😳

We were watching two humpback whales behaving a little differently than usual. They were staying close together, surfacing frequently, and taking very short breaths as they moved up and down through the
water. Something seemed unusual, so we kept watching.

Then, after one slightly longer dive, a red cloud appeared beneath the surface. As the whales surfaced again, we suddenly realized there were now three whales. Except one of them was tiny, pale in colour, and staying close to its mother. We couldn't believe our eyes... we had just witnessed the birth of a humpback whale calf!
