@tanner_lian @espinacas I find the theme to the Wombles very effective. "Underground, overground, wombling free" etc. Very few can remember the rest, and the brain zones out while trying.
@tanner_lian @AllenAndUnwin As our granddaughter, Aria, is Anglophone, she will have to settle for the English language copy we’re giving her for Christmas 😘 (A lovely book @tanner_lian 😊)
Spring has only sporadically sprung here in #Tasmania, but we can always find gold in thum thar hills. My latest piece for Forty South.

Cable car hearings have now concluded
HCC legal closing a good summary:
“This application is a house of cards erected on very shaky foundations and held together with the flimsiest of responses to the deep and profound values of one of Hobart’s most important natural assets...”

“They paid the road builders by the curve, not by the mile” goes the old joke about #Tasmania Is there more than a grain of truth in it? My latest piece for @fortysouthtas https://t.co/PdzD8f3etX
@frippet There's (a lot) more here https://t.co/tomqDMOGDT and here https://t.co/Db10TH5fZS and also https://t.co/JR0Iq5QFKt Sorry ... #naturewriting is something of an obsession.

@BradDesmond2 As a “known quantity”, it was hard to stand out. At interview’s end I was asked if I had anything to add. I handed the panel a 10,000 word master plan outlining where I wanted to take the role. I got the job.
@dorkymum Yes, beware the talons of Tassie! We came on our honeymoon in 1976, loved it, moved here in 1980. Three children and 10 grandchildren later, we couldn’t live anywhere else.
Enjoyed brilliant displays of red and (rarer) yellow seed heads of Bellendena montana, before rain stopped play. This Tasmanian endemic, aka #mountainrocket, is restricted to our high country.
